Best Airbnbs for Fall 2021
It may be hard to believe but Fall is just around the corner. If you are hoping to stay in a beautiful cabin surrounded by the vibrant autumn colors then you may need to begin booking now! We have actually been planning a trip ourselves for the Maine / New York area for this coming October for well over a month and it has proven to be quite challenging. Many of the places we have had our eye on were already booked so check these places out before someone beats you to it!
Unfortunately, not many of these AirBnb listings include photos of their property in the fall so you’ll have to use your imagination. Use this fall foliage peak prediction calendar to help you decide when to plan your visit! **Indicates a favorite!
Cabin Love | Smithville, Tennessee
The bold color of this cabin suits the autumn hues perfectly. Check this place out if you’re close by!
The Pond House | Erwin, Tennessee
As you can see from the photo, this place is perched right over the pond. The reflection of the leaves on the water is beautiful.
Sage + Cedar | Stanton, Kentucky **
This cabin is only 3 miles from Natural Bridge State Park, 6.5miles from the Red River Gorge, and 3.5miles from Nada Tunnel making this the ideal location for fall!
Cabin at Scenic Hills | Berlin, Ohio
Bring the whole family to Amish Country! We recently visited the area and met the owners of this property at a local restaurant (Hi Brenda + Jonathon!). We loved our time here and agree it could only be made better at the change of the season. The thought of apple cider, farm animals and hay rides, and the fresh baked goods are luring us back.
Geopod in Todd | Todd, North Carolina
This Geodome is set amongst the trees and only a 20 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway which means 469 miles of scenic fall views! Google “Blue Ridge Parkway in Fall” and you’ll be sold!
Midcentury A- Frame | Hamlin, Pennsylvania
Once the trees right outside this window change color, the only thing that could make sitting in this tub more relaxing is a large mug of hot apple cider.
Artist A Frame | Germantown, NY
This photo of the Artist A-Frame has us dreaming of visiting in the fall. Can you imagine being surrounded by all of those trees when they are red, orange and gold?
A-Frame Catskills Cabin | Roscoe, New York
This property is surrounded by pine trees which will turn a bright gold come fall.
Dry Brook Cabin | Arkville, New York
Located in the Western Catskills, here you will have access to miles of hiking trials, crystal-clear waters, forests and meadows. That is, if you ever want to venture out from this Scandinavian oasis.
Floating Farmhouse | Eldred, New York
If you want to feel like you are in a movie, book this place during the fall. We can’t imagine a more picturesque scene than floating on the river in the crisp morning air admiring the reflection of the vibrant trees on the water.
Alpenglow Cabin | Twin Lakes, Colorado **
Outside these large windows is a mountain lined with trees that will be flooding the home with color this fall. Browse through this AirBnb listing to get just a taste of Twin Lakes has to offer in autumn.
Tiny Home on a Mountain | Red Cliff, Colorado
This tiny home is tucked amongst the gold trees of Colorado. Can it get any better than that?
We ultimately chose the Sage + Cedar cabin in Kentucky and the Alpenglow Cabin in Twin Lakes, Colorado because we think they have the best opportunities for leaf peeping close to the property. Let us know if you end up staying at one of these places or find another stay for this fall!
